Hessian Shade Lamp
The same open-fired base under a loose-woven hessian shade.
A rounder, fuller jar base with a drum shade of loose-woven hessian, left frayed at the edge. The weave scatters the light into a soft, rough-textured glow.

- Halan clay from the Quao river, mixed with fine sand
- Firing
- Open fire of wood, straw and coconut husk, around 800°C
- Finish
- No glaze, no colourant - colour comes from fire and smoke
- Care
- Unglazed clay is porous. Dust with a soft dry cloth. For fresh flowers, use a glass liner inside.
